Veezi API Help

1 - Introduction

• Introduction | Go to Top
• The Veezi API is exposed as a RESTful service.
• Authentication is carried out via a custom HTTP header.
• The data can be retrieved in either JSON or XML format. JSON is the default format, so if that is the way you want the data returned, then you don't need to do anything. If you wish to retrieve the data as XML they you need to ensure the Accept HTTP header is set to application/xml.

2 - Authentication

• Authentication for the Veezi API is controlled via an Access Token. To obtain an access token, a Veezi customer must generate one in Veezi Back Office and provide this token to the person who wants to use the API. The Veezi customer has full control over their API access tokens and can decide to cancel them at any time.
• To make a call to any of the Veezi API methods you must add the access token to a custom HTTP header VeeziAccessToken. If this is not provided or if the access token is not valid you will receive a 403 Forbidden HTTP reposonse. Please note that you can't pass the access token as a query string e.g. http://my.us.veezi.com/film?VeeziAccessToken=MyAccessToken will not work.
• Note: Each access token gives you access to one Veezi site. If the account has multiple sites and you wish to access them all, you'll need an access token for each site

3 - Session

• There are two operations supported on sessions.
• Both calls return objects with the same properties.
• GET v1/session - This retrieves a list of all sessions where the CleanupEndTime is in the future for the site that is associated with the access token.
• GET v1/session/{id} - This retrieves just one session based on the id, even if it is not currently being returned in the list. If there is no session with this id then a 404 HTTP error is returned.

4 - Web Session

• there is only one method supported on WebSession
• GET v1/websession - This is a helper function that information similar to a call to /v1/session but with two differences.
  • Additional filtering is applied so the results are appropriate to be used as a session listing that links to a Veezi internet ticketing site.
• These filters are:
  • The PreShowStartTime is in the future
  • The Status is Open
  • The ShowType is Public
  • The show is not a multi/double feature
  • The SalesVia contains WWW
• Also there is an extra property URL which contains the URL that can be used to purchase tickets to that session if Veezi Web Ticketing is enabled

5 - Films

• Film Packages | Go to Top
• There are two operations supported on films.
• Both calls return objects with the same properties
• GET /v4/film - This retrieves the list of all films from a Veezi customer database. This may include films that have never been shown at this site.
• GET /v4/film/{id} - This retrieves just one film based on the id. If there is no film with this id then a 404 HTTP error is returned.

6 - Film Packages

• Film Packages | Go to Top
• A film package is used to program a mulit/double feature. There are two operations supported on film packages.
• Both calls return objects with the same properties.
• GET /v1/filmpackage - This retrieves a list of all film packages from a Veezi customer database. This may include film packages that have never been shown at this site.
• GET /v1/filmpackage/{id} - This retrieves just one film package based on the id. If there is no film package with this id then a 404 HTTP error is returned.

7 - Screen

• Screen | Go to Top
• Screen Definition
  • Screen info includes assigning a "Screen Number" to the screen,
  • total number of designated empty, fill seats, and wheelchair spaces in the room, request allocated seating, and seat layout diagram.
  • If you have multiple screens in a theater, you would need a "Screen" record for each screen.

• There are two operations supported on film screens.
• Both calls return objects with the same properties.
• GET/v1/screen - This retrieves a list of all screens for the site that is associated with the access token.
• GET/v1/screen{id} - This retrieves just one screen based on the id. If there is no screen with this id then a 404 HTTP error is returned.

8 - Site

• Site | Go to Top
• Site Definition
  • Sites represent your cinema locations, and are configured with Screens.
  • You may have only one site; otherwise if you're an organisation with multiple locations, you need one site record for each of them.

• GET v1/site - This retrieves details of the site that is associated with the access token.

9 - Attribute

• Attribute | Go to Top
• Attributes are additional properties that can be assigned to screens.
• If an attribute has been associated with a screen, all sessions on that screen will be assigned that attribute when it is created.
• For example, if a screen is given the attribute of a Premium screen, all sessions that are shown on that screen will have the Premium attribute.

• GET /v1/attribute - This retrieves the list of all attributes from a Veezi customer database.
• GET /v1/attribute/{id} - This retrieves just one attribute based on the id. If there is no attribute with this id then a 404 HTTP error is returned.
